What is it?

Why do you want to learn this new skill?

Where can you get help to learn this skill?

What is your plan after you acquire this new skill, and how will this change your life?

ANSWER

There are so many things in this world that I want to learn every day, whether for entertainment or to enhance my knowledge. And I believe that learning is a lifelong process.

As I mentioned before, I can sing quite well, and my friends always praise my voice when I sing, so that is why I have often thought about learning how to play the guitar. I reckon that it would be great to sing and play guitar simultaneously. Then I will upload my performances on the internet; maybe my videos will go viral and I will be well-known in the near future. And it helps me develop my career a lot because many people will know me.

Learning how to play the guitar means that I would need to choose a guitar, learn how to tune it correctly, and hold it. I would definitely need to find a guitar center to develop my skills. Because it’s challenging for a beginner to play guitar, it’s really discouraging for any beginner without instructors.

In order to excel at playing guitar, I think it takes a lot of time and effort, and I need to practice as much as I can.

I’m considering choosing the Amazing Guitar Center, which is the famous center for teaching how to play the guitar, near my place. And register for a course with an expert or teacher to help me, maybe 2 or 3 times a week.

Besides going to a center to learn, there are also a lot of books and videos online that teach how to learn guitar for beginners like me to consult to master my skills faster.

After learning to play guitar, I would do more performances at home, then film myself while playing guitar and singing my favorite songs. Then I will upload them to my channels and recommend that my friends watch them and give me some feedback so that I know which areas I need to improve.

I believe that this can be a very fun way to spend my spare time in the future; it can make me happy or even rich and famous if my videos go viral.

1. What types of guitars are you likely to play if you pick up these skills?
I would play the electric guitar because it’s quite cheap and easy to learn for beginners like me. I know my close friend played electric guitar, but it only took her about 3 months to be good at it.

2. What are some skills that parents should teach their children to be successful in life?
In my opinion, moms and dads play a key role in social skills that are needed for everyday life, like problem-solving skills, communication skills, and positive thinking. When I was a child, my mom always taught me how to behave properly and always be attentive, which helps me a lot now.

3. What skills should schools teach students to guarantee their success in life?
From my point of view, educational institutions are responsible for teaching skills like writing and reading that are needed for employment and financial success in life, so they can apply these skills when they work for any company.

4. How have the skills required for daily life changed since a generation ago?
This is a great question. They have changed significantly especially 3 or 4 decades ago.

Nowadays, people need to be tech-savvy while using their thumbs to type quickly or using mobile applications. But people didn’t need to be competent when my parents were young adults.

5. Where can people learn advanced skills that are highly demanded by society?
I think that the best places to learn professional skills are definitely big businesses or universities, especially in graduate and postgraduate programs.

6. Can you elaborate on this?
Yes, of course. Becoming a doctor is definitely in high demand these days. These skills can only be acquired at distinguished universities, like medical universities. In VN, there are several medical schools, like HCM or HN University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and sometimes they need to study abroad to have a higher education.

7. Why is it important to set goals in life?

Honestly speaking, it’s vital to have a life goal for every person. People need goals to be motivated to achieve success in life; having goals also lays the foundation for happiness and development.

8. What are the best ways to achieve these goals so that people can remember them?
The best way to set up any target is to have a clear plan and a deadline as well. It’s really important to be realistic and work hard to achieve it. Like I did with this IELTS exam. I set up this date around 9 months ago. I’ve been working around the clock on a daily basis on my study plan so that I can improve my English and communication skills and hope to get better scores.

9. Why are some people not able to achieve the goals that they set for themselves?
There are many reasons why people fail to attain their goals.

Maybe they are not realistic, like becoming a millionaire overnight, or they aren’t persistent enough and give up along the way.

10. What can they do to change this?
They can follow some advice, like setting up a realistic goal. It would be best to have a clear and careful plan and a deadline.

It’s also important to work hard until they reach their goals.VOCAB
