TOPIC 13 TRAVEL

Christopher (English US)

Jenny (English US)

  1. How often do you go on a trip?

I go traveling at least 2 or 3 times a year; sometimes I travel abroad with my family. Last year, my family and I went to Thailand to travel. We had a great time there.

  1. When was the last time you went on a trip?

As I just mentioned, last year, maybe 9 months ago, my family and I went on a five-day vacation to Bangkok, Thailand. We explored a lot of places of interest and enjoyed local cuisine /kwɪˈziːn/as well.

  1. What was your favorite holiday?

It’s hard to say because I’ve had some amazing trips during the last year.

However, my favorite holiday I liked most was the trip to Thai Lan with my parents last year. Because that was the first time for my parents to travel abroad by plane, they were really ecstatic and happy. After the trip, my mother always talks about her experience in Thailand with her neighbors and relatives. So that is the most unforgettable holiday to me, and that’s why I really like it.

  1. How has traveling changed during the last ten years??

There have been significant changes in travel and tourism over the past couple of decades.

Nowadays, everything is online, like buying a ticket to any place in the world, booking a hotel, or making a reservation at a restaurant just at our fingertips, instead of going to the airport to buy tickets in the past.

Flight tickets are getting cheaper because of fierce competition /fɪrs/ among airlines.

  1. If you could go on a trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Wow, it is so wonderful. I’ve never thought of it.

However, if I could go anywhere, I would travel to the US. I’ve seen a lot of magnificent cities in movies and spectacular views; it would be amazing to check them out in real life. So traveling to America is always my dream.
