2/ What do you do in your free time?
In my leisure/spare time, in order to inwind, I usually immerse myself in music at home or watch some comedy movies/ˈkɑːmədi/ on the internet. Sometimes, I go out with my husband or my friends. Yesterday, I just had dinner with them at the best restaurant in my city.
3/ How did you get to this exam today?
I took a taxi to get here; it took about 30 minutes. A taxi is a quick and convenient means of transport, so whenever I go out quite far, I often take a taxi.
4/ Why do people learn languages?
The main purpose of learning any language is to communicate with others around the world.
Enhance job opportunities in some fields like business, medicine, and law.
Learning another language helps people open their minds and broaden their knowledge.
Learn another language so that they can study and work in foreign countries.
5/ How often do you use English?
Actually, I’m a TOEIC teacher. So I use English every single day, like talking to my students, using social media, or watching some TV shows or online news in English.
6/ Where do you use English frequently?
Definitely at my workplace. I have some communication classes. So I have to use English with my students on a daily basis.
7/ Who do you speak English to the most?
Like I mentioned before, those are my students. Sometimes I also talk to my friend, who is an American and lives and works near my place, I often talk to him in English on Facebook or meet him at the coffee shop.
8/ How have learning languages changed?
The internet has a big impact on learning languages. For example, in the past, we needed to go to school to learn English. But mostly from Vietnamese teachers in VN. But now, with the advent of the internet, we can learn from native speakers around the world on YouTube or many other apps. So learning many languages is easier than ever before.
9/ If you could learn another language, what would it be and why?
If given a choice, I would learn Chinese because I really like their culture, and it’s easier and more useful for me to travel there. Sometimes, while watching Chinese films, I don’t read subtitles.
