TOPIC 7- SLEEP

TOPIC 7- SLEEP

Christopher (English US)

Jenny (English US)

  1. How many hours do you sleep in a day?

I get about 7 hours of sleep a day, usually from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. And sometimes, I take a 10-minute nap. I find this amount sufficient for me to recharge my batteries to work better during the day.

  1. Where do you like to sleep?

Definitely my own bed; it’s so comfortable and spacious. Whenever I sleep on my sofa or elsewhere, I don’t feel rested.

  1. When do you go to bed, and why?

As I mentioned, I usually go to bed at around 11 p.m. because my classes finish at around 9.30 p.m. After that, I read some news on the internet or listened to some podcasts. So I think going to bed at around 11 p.m. is appropriate for my schedule. But sometimes, when I watch TikTok or amazing videos, I can lose track of the time, so I go to bed late.

  1. What helps you sleep better?

When I get some fresh air and do intense exercise like running or just eat some good food, I sleep like a baby.

  1. How do you feel when you do not get enough sleep?

When I don’t get enough sleep, I get grumpy /rmpi/* coc can, I have trouble concentrating when working or studying, and I get a headache /hedek/. So it’s completely better for me to get a full night’s sleep.

  1. Have you ever had difficulties sleeping, and if yes, why?

Yes, I have. Sometimes I have some trouble sleeping when I have some important and stressful events for the next day, like this IELTS exam. My mind tends to think about the upcoming events of the next day. Or when I experience economic hardship/ˈhɑːrdʃɪp/, I can’t hit the sack. /sæk/
