You should say

What is the idea?

Why did you think of this idea?

Why is this idea beneficial for the planet?

Why is this idea not possible yet, and what is needed to make it a reality?

Answer

An idea that I have thought of to make the planet a better place is to advocate for a drive-less program,” which people should follow.

I really thought about this several years ago when I came to the realization that there are many factors affecting the global climate. But a major factor affecting the environment is air quality, which is significantly impacted by air pollution from so many cars on the road.

Noise pollution from vehicles on the roads also causes headaches, high blood pressure, and other heart diseases for a lot of people around the world.

The main purpose of this campaign is to reduce carbon emissions and minimize energy consumption, which is also the main factor contributing to global warming.

Drive Less campaign. It means that instead of driving alone, we should find ways to bike, walk, take the bus, or carpool if possible.

We should try biking to an event, carpooling with friends to a festival, taking the bus to the movies, or walking to pick up lunch.

There are numerous benefits to this campaign. Not only will we be saving on our monthly energy costs, but we will also be helping the environment and improving our health.

I firmly believe that by running this campaign all over the world, and when the public took part in the campaign, the planet would be a better place for us.

I reckon that the reason this campaign hasn’t been implemented yet is because of ignorance.

In order to make it happen, people and governments must unite again to work toward a shared goal.

George (English US)

  1. How long do you think it will take for the global community to make the changes?

It is a general consensus. so it can take a lot of time. I think it may take at least 5 to 10 years to reach it.

  1. What have you done to advocate for these changes?

I’ve communicated with a lot of people, including some environmental groups. I also try to encourage my family, my students, and my friends to pay more attention to these important issues.

  1. What are everyday actions that people can take to help Mother Earth?

I believe that by paying attention to the products people buy, like buying less plastic and bringing a reusable shopping bag,

Use long-lasting light bulbs. Energy-efficient light bulbs reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Switch the light off when we leave the room!

  1. Driving less, using fuel-efficient cars, and using public transport

We must conserve drinking water. We should reuse and recycle as much as possible, planting a lot of trees.

They reduce our impact on the environment a lot.

  1. Which of these should people pay special attention to?

Planting trees is perhaps the best way to preserve our nature. It’s also one of the easiest ways to take harmful CO2 out of the atmosphere and tackle the climate crisis.

Not only do trees cut carbon, but they also purify the air by removing pollutants.

  1. Why is it important for individuals to conserve water?

From my point of view, water is the source of all life and the most important liquid in our ecosystem—all plants, insects, and animals, including us!—and we cannot survive without it. It is important that we are mindful of water’s power and that we remember to conserve it.

More importantly, saving water provides a sufficient supply for our next generation in the coming years.

  1. What is the best way to do it?

There are several ways to conserve water, like

Checking the toilet for leaks

Taking shorter showers

Turning off the water while shaving or brushing

They are definitely good ways to help out.

  1. How are you going to encourage other people to take care of and protect the environment?

By introducing them to eco-friendly products and services. If we love a company that cares about the environment, don’t be afraid to share it with the people we know. Doing so helps raise awareness of the products and services available that don’t harm the planet.

  1. Can you think of any charities whose main goals are to help the planet?

Yes, a couple of environmental NGOs in Vietnam are the Environmental Defense Fund, or EDF, and Green Home.

Both organizations were established several decades ago in order to preserve nature as well as bring awareness to environmental issues in Vietnam.

  1. What can people do to help these organizations be more successful?

There are countless ways to give support to these organizations. We can volunteer our time to give them a hand, or we can make donations and encourage others to give theirs as well.

  1. Have people become more or less responsible for society and nature these days?

It depends

Some people are doing their best to reduce, reuse, recycle, and reduce carbon emissions, while others are more wasteful than ever, like consuming resources.

Some people use EVs to drive around the city, while others use large SUVs to commute with only 1-2 passengers in the car.

  1. What are some of the most important social responsibilities that people need to pay careful attention to?

Apart from protecting nature, we should pay more attention to complying with the law, respecting international norms of behavior, and respecting human rights.

  1. What can happen if they don’t act responsibly in these situations?

If we don’t abide by the law, in the worst scenario, this world will turn into a chaotic mess all around, like traffic accidents, thiefs, violence, burglary, wars, and kidnapping.

  1. What are the five major impacts humans have on the environment?

Humans impact the physical environment in many ways: overpopulation, pollution, burning fossil fuels, and deforestation. Changes like these have triggered climate change, soil erosion, poor air quality, and undrinkable water.

  1. What are the three biggest factors contributing to climate change?

Burning fossil fuels, cutting down forests, and farming livestock are increasingly influencing the climate and the earth’s temperature. This adds enormous amounts of greenhouse gases to those naturally occurring in the atmosphere, increasing the greenhouse effect and global warming.

  1. What human activity is the biggest contributor to climate change?

I think that the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions from human activities in the world is from burning fossil fuels for electricity, heat, and transportation.

  1. What are the three effects of climate change on human activities?

Generally speaking, the impacts of climate change include warming temperatures, changes in precipitation, increases in the frequency or intensity of some extreme weather events, and rising sea levels. These impacts threaten our health by affecting the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe, and the weather we experience.

  1. How does human lifestyle affect climate change?

Burning fossil fuels, releasing chemicals into the atmosphere, reducing the amount of forest cover, and the rapid expansion of farming, development, and industrial activities are releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and changing the balance of the climate.

  1. How are forests important for human beings?

I reckon that forests are renewable resources and carry a lot of importance. They play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of the environment.

They purify the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, prevent erosion, and act as an important buffer against climate change. Forests offer a home to much of the world’s diverse array of plants and animals and provide essential natural resources, from timber and food to medicinal plants.

  1. How can we protect forests from deforestation?

From my perspective, there are some strategies we can apply to reduce and prevent deforestation, like planting trees, using less paper, recycling paper and cardboard, and using recycled products.
