PART 2
You should say:
- Who is this person?
- How do you know this person?
- how famous he or she is
and explain how he or she has become so popular.
ANSWER
I acknowledge that I’m not a big fan of football, and I hardly watch any football games. As a result, I do not know much about various sportspeople in my country or around the world. However, after seeing this topic, Leo Messi comes to my mind.
He was considered the World Sport Star of the Year in 2022 after captaining Argentina to the World Cup in Qatar.
After the World Cup 2022 is finished, a lot of news talked about Leo Messi. I felt curious about him because he is so renowned. So I read some news about him and watched some videos about his life. His life story caught my attention just as much as his incredible skills.
What struck me the most was that he had to overcome countless obstacles. The biggest challenge was that he suffered from a hormone deficiency. Despite his health problems, Messi became a modern legend. He has won numerous awards over the course of his career.
I was inspired by his quote “I start early and I stay late; day after day, year after year, it took me 17 years and 114 days to become an overnight success.”
He showed me that if I work around the clock in life, in the end, I will receive a reward that lasts forever.
He came from the bottom. However, he is currently at the peak of his career, he’s so humble.
More importantly, he is so generous and has a golden heart. In addition to his work with UNICEF, Leo founded his own charitable organization, the Leo Messi Foundation, which invests in health-care services to improve children’s lives. He also gets involved in many other charity projects to help many people in need.
That’s why I think a lot of people love and admire him. Messi has inspired us to be the best we can be.
He is definitely a role model for thousands of youngsters in the world, including me.
